Chopping garlic this morning is a Holy act.
When I chop garlic, the whole world chops garlic!
When I chop onions, the whole world chops onions!
There was a time when I was a hungry ghost
and wanted everything.
Today I am empty,
and want nothing.
Who could explain it?
Holy, whole,
no me,
no other.
These onions are making me cry.
Etymological Origin of ‘Holy’: Proto-Germanic, kailo, meaning ‘Whole, uninjured, safe’.
