OK, OK, I give up. Really, you can have it all. I know you’ve been looking for me for a long time. Well, here I am, as always. There’s nothing left of me anyway. Ha ha, just empty space, a big, beautiful, happy empty space that holds everything, and yet, the troubles of the world cannot touch me. Nothing to do, nothing to get. Crows cawing, an itch on my nose, the rise and fall of breathing, thoughts arising, the sound of an airplane overhead. Yes, this is what the Buddha meant when he said, ‘I have truly attained nothing.’
